Serving of Justice

A website demo built around a student-run nonprofit that bakes and sells treats to fund community causes — showing how a small organization can present its mission, its transparency and its ways to get involved on one clear site.

// Overview

What this project is

The design goal was trust. Nonprofits live or die on whether a visitor believes the money goes where it's promised, so the demo is structured around showing rather than telling: how the model works step by step, where proceeds go, and what participation looks like for donors, buyers and student volunteers.

The site is organized into five pages — Home, About, Shop, Donate & Impact, and Join Us — so each audience has an obvious place to land. The homepage walks through the bake-sell-give model in four steps and leads with the organization's own voice: “Justice, served warm.”

This is a website demo. The impact figures, quotes and transaction details shown on the demo site are illustrative content used to demonstrate the design — they are not claimed results of a live organization.

How it was built

Audience

Donors deciding whether to give, community members buying from the bake sale, and students thinking about volunteering — three groups with three different questions, each answered on its own page.

Visual direction

Warm and clean, closer to a neighborhood bakery than a corporate charity — friendly typography, generous whitespace, and product photography doing the emotional work.

Page structure

Home, About, Shop, Donate & Impact, Join Us. A linear structure with the mission explained up top and a concrete action available at every scroll depth.

Responsive approach

Built mobile-first: the product carousel, step-by-step model explanation and donation paths all reflow to a single column without losing their order or their calls to action.

Technical implementation

Hand-built static pages — no heavyweight platform underneath — so the site loads fast and stays simple to maintain.

Conversion design

Four clear calls to action — shop, see impact, join, donate — repeated where they're relevant instead of stacked into one overloaded homepage.

// Takeaway

What it demonstrates

  • How a multi-page nonprofit site can separate audiences (donors, buyers, volunteers) without fragmenting the mission story.
  • Transparency as a design principle — impact numbers and receipts presented as first-class content, not buried in an annual report.
  • That warm, personal branding and a disciplined page structure can coexist on the same small site.
